Each year, Zebra donates a free website to a deserving non-profit, and 2010's recipient was The Caroline Project. Founded Steve Gumbay, a former Kent Denver School teacher, this excellent organization supports girls in Kenya whose lives have been devastated by AIDS. While teaching in these communities over the past several years, Steve’s witnessed the important role education plays in disease prevention. Girls are particularly vulnerable, and several struggle for survival.
Caroline, the project’s namesake and first beneficiary, was living in her dead parents’ house with no means of support. With Steve’s help, Caroline is now living with a loving family, and she is attending school. You can help Steve support other girls by donating online at www.thecarolineproject.org.
